I had my second national race of the year last weekend at my home track in Barnesville, GA.

Four in Jr. Sportsman 2 and four in Jr. Sportsman 2 box stock. In the first two Jr. Sportsman 2, I qualified in 2^nd on the outside pole by 0.07. In the heat race I was passed at the start and kept that position throughout the whole race and finished 3^rd. In the feature race, they average how you did in the heat and qualifying and that is how you start for the feature race. Therefore, I started in 2^nd. At the start of the feature race, I was passed again by 3^rd, couldn’t get around him, and finished in 3^rd again.

In the second two races in Jr. Sportsman 2, I qualified in 3^rd. In the heat race, I passed 2^{nd at} the start and finished in 2^nd. In the feature race, I started in 3^rd but the front two karts jumped the start twice so they swapped the positions and I got to start on the pole. I led the feature race for 19 ½ laps out of 20 laps. On the last lap, I was spun out by second and finished 4^th. They penalized second one position so I finished 3^rd.

On the first two races of Jr. Sportsman 2 Box Stock, I qualified in 2^nd. In the heat race, I passed first on the last lap and won the race. In the feature, I started in 2^nd because of the average. Somehow my kart tightened up and first pulled away and I finished 2^nd.

In the second two Jr. Sportsman 2 Box Stock races I qualified first by 0.3. In the heat race I kept that position and finished 1^st. In the feature race, I started on the pole, pulled away, and led the race from flag to flag.
