I had a couple of heat/feature races February 18, four more heat/feature races March 3 & 4 in Jacksonville FL, and one March 10 at Barnesville, GA.

February 18 races Jacksonville Divisional:

In the first race of Jr sportsman 2 box stock I qualified in 1^st. In the heat race I kept that position an finished 1^st. In the feature race I got passed at the start and was then in 2^nd. I was able to pass 1^st any time, but I was saving it for the last lap. Somehow, he got loose about half way through the race and I got around him. So I had to hold him off from getting around me on the last lap. He almost got around me on the straight, but I held him off and ended up winning the race.

In Sportsman 2 I did not get to qualify because we only have one kart and we didn’t have any time to switch the engines. But, we got to run the heat race. In the heat race I caught back up to 2^nd and made a pass for 1^st with 2 laps to go; I got around him and on the last lap he passed me back. I tried to hold him off but he had too good of a run on me. In the feature race I got around him on the first lap. I held that position and on the last lap he got around me again so I finished 2^nd.

Jacksonville WKA national:

March 3 races -In Jr sportsman 2 box stock I qualified in 2^nd. I did not run the heat race because the PA speakers weren’t loud enough and we couldn’t hear the heat race announcement while changing engines. In the feature race I caught back up to 2^nd, but got passed and finished in 3^rd. In Sportsman 2 Lite I qualified in 2^nd and almost got the pole. In the heat race 1^st, 3^rd, and I pulled away. I almost finished 1^st. Luckily they average qualifying and your heat race so I started in first because I had the least amount of points. In the feature race I stayed in first until half way. On the last lap, I tried to make a pass but got 2^nd by a hair.

March 4 races – In Jr sportsman 2 box stock I qualified on pole. In the heat race I kept that position and finished 1^st. In the feature race I was in first but we had on the wrong gear so 1^st and 2^nd pulled away and I finished in 3^rd. In Sportsman 2 heavy I qualified in 3^rd. In the heat race I passed 2^nd at the start and kept that position. On the 2^nd to last lap I passed 1^st and on the last lap he passed me right back; and on the last turn I went through the grass to make a pass for first, but they penalized me 3 positions (watch the video and tell me what you think) so I started in 4^th in the feature race. At the start of the feature race someone hopped my tire and my exhaust got bent. It turned out that my engine idle jet was dirty too and I didn’t have any power so I fell back to 6^th and finished that way.

March 10 Barnesville GSKA:

This was my first  race at Barnesville this year. I qualified in 3^rd and all most got 2^nd. I was 0.01 away from him. In the heat race I got around him at the start and kept that position. I then pulled away from him and caught up to 1^st. my kart got loose and 1st pulled away and 3^rd was right behind me. I could have been passed any time, but I held him off and I had the fastest lap. In the feature race, I got hit at the start and 1^st pulled away once again. I then pulled away from 3^rd and finished 2^nd.
